STORYCORPS: ORLANDO SHOWCASES OUR COMMUNITY'S STORIES
SEGMENT AIRS THURSDAY AFTERNOONS; PODCAST FEATURES MORE STORIES
Back in January, we brought the StoryCorps MobileBooth to the Orlando Museum of Art to collect our community’s stories. We were so heartened to see our listeners come out in droves, and when the facilitators packed up the booth in February, they transferred more than 150 conversations to the WMFE studios.

On Thursday, April 18, we debuted StoryCorps: Orlando, which showcases just a few of our favorite conversations. Hosted by Nicole Darden-Creston, the segment will air for eight weeks at 5:44 p.m. Thursdays during All Things Considered on 90.7 WMFE. The first story was a conversation between two friends in their 80s remembering pivotal points in Orlando’s history.
And, the stories you hear on our airwaves and more will be preserved on our website as well as in the StoryCorps: Orlando podcast (subscribe wherever you get your podcasts). We hope you’ll listen, share and discuss.
Thank you, Central Florida, for telling your stories.
Support for StoryCorps: Orlando comes from Orlando Health and our members (become a member). StoryCorps: Orlando’s theme music is from “See You Letter” by Jordan Foley, a singer-songwriter based in Orlando.
