No Winner in Orange County District 2 Commissioner Race

Former Florida House Representative Bryan Nelson is the front runner for Orange County Commission District 2, but he hasn’t won the seat yet.

Nelson garnered 49 percent of the vote, putting him about 200 votes shy of victory.

Orange County saw historically low voter turnout Tuesday, and Nelson thinks that had an impact on the race.

“Fourteen percent is a really low number and you'd like to have more folks vote your way or more folks voting at all and we think we would have gotten more people out to vote we would have been done in August, ” says Nelson

Eatonville Town Councilman Alvin Moore narrowly took second place with 18.5 percent  of the vote. He’ll face Nelson in a run-off race in November.
