Wanda Vázquez, Puerto Rico’s Justice Secretary, was sworn in as governor of the island last week, bringing some stability after weeks of protest that prompted the exit of former governor Ricardo Rosselló. 

Can Vázquez build trust with residents frustrated and angry by political corruption, and with the slow pace of recovery after hurricane Maria?  

Miami Herald reporter Bianca Padró Ocasio, who was in Puerto Rico covering the protests, joins us to talk about what led up to Vázquez being sworn in as governor, the challenges ahead, and what the protest movement means for Puerto Ricans on the island and in Florida.
