Morgan takes medical marijuana to UCF

John Morgan is calling on college students to vote for medical marijuana. The “For the People” attorney was at the University of Central Florida on Monday as part of his campaign for Amendment 2, which would legalize marijuana as a medical remedy.

UCF Plans for Downtown Campus

The University of Central Florida plans to expand in downtown Orlando. President John Hitt announced Tuesday the university will partner with Valencia College on a downtown campus that will educate up to 10,000 students. Hitt says the goal is to expose students to downtown work opportunities and also enhance education in low-income Parramore. He says the idea is modeled after Arizona State University’s downtown campus, which has about 11,000 students. “They’ll tell you it’s the best thing they ever did.
