Intersection: Reduce, Reuse and Be Sure To Recycle Correctly


You might think you’re doing the right thing by recycling those bottles, cans, plastic containers and cardboard boxes, but put enough of the wrong stuff in the bin and it could be your load and a whole neighborhood’s load of recycling that heads to the landfill instead. Orange County started a pilot program called “Think Five” to educate residents on what is and isn’t recyclable. Dawn McCormick, Director of Communications for Waste Management, and Professor Fazal T. Najafi, engineering professor at UF, join us to talk about the importance of recycling.
