John King, the host of The Drunken Odyssey: A Podcast About the Writing Life, and the host of To a Certain Degree radio show and podcast are hosting a write-in — well, a type-in — at the house where Jack Kerouac wrote his novel, Dharma Bums. This is a write in with typewriters.  Writers who wish to join this write-in are invited to go old school with numerous antique typewriters that will be on hand for this event, and bebop jazz will be playing to help drown out all those typewriters. Kerouac House Potluck ,Orlando Animal Save and Artegone Mall Open Mic


The Kerouac House potluck dinner Saturday at 7:30pm. 1418 Clouser Ave, Orlando, FL 32804. Please join in welcoming Kerouac House Winter resident Lily Brooks-Dalton. This event is a potluck dinner, so please bring something to eat and/or drink and share. Lily Brooks-Dalton’s first novel, Good Morning, Midnight, was recently published by Random House in August 2016. Her previous book, the memoir Motorcycles I’ve Loved, was an Oregon Book Award finalist. She has an MFA in fiction from Portland State University.
