• Audio storytelling has come a long way since a clever sound guy first clopped together two coconut shells to fake a galloping horse. And the Chicago-based Third Coast International Audio Festival wants you to know about it. This group of sonic connoisseurs is dedicated to showcasing radio and podcasts from around the world. Since 2009, they’ve put on a Filmless Festival, sometimes called “Sundance for Radio,” collecting the very best of what they’ve heard. This weekend, it happens in a city other than Chicago for the first time.
