Artegon Marketplace Shutdown

Heidi and Tony Wentzell opened their first business knowing they would be evicted in two weeks. The Wentzells opened the Hoppy Cellar, a craft beer and wine bar, the night of Jan. 12, just hours after other vendors heard the news that Artegon Marketplace, Orlando’s two-year-old “anti-mall” on International Drive, was closing. The Hoppy Cellar was supposed to open at the mall the following week, but after hearing from a friend about the shutdown, the couple rushed to open so they could sell the inventory they had invested in. Canine Memorial, OMART And Chinese Brush Painting

There’s a collective memorial called the 4th annual Canine memorial at Lake Baldwin at which former pet owners release and candle lantern into the water in memory of a lost pet. Its purpose is to provide everyone with the opportunity to honor and bid farewell to their treasured companions. The memorial takes place Saturday 7 to 9:30 in the evening at 4990 New Broad Street in Baldwin Park and is free and open to the public.
