There’s a huge street party and music festival called the 9th Annual Hurricane Party happening in lovely downtown Sanford put on by several local watering holes including West End Trading Company, Celery City Craft and Rabbitfoot Records Coffee Lounge. The giant event happens all day Saturday and Sunday.

The first ever Fairy Garden Festival is here. Finally, travel to the far reaches of Central Florida… Rockledge, for a kids fairy garden make and take mini garden tutorial, an adult fairy garden workshop, a visit from Tinkerbell and an all-day fairy scavenger hunt. The Fairy Garden Festival goes down Saturday 9 to 6 at Rockledge Gardens.

They say never take your hat off in the club if you’re bald, but I say take them off, for the annual Dress for Success called Hats Off to Success. Take it off! Take your hats OFF! There will be a raffle, not a half-brunch or quarter brunch, but a full brunch buffet, motivational talks and inspiring awards. It all goes down at the Second Harvest Food Bank at 411 Mercy Drive in downtown Orlando Saturday 10am to 1pm.

Repticon Orlando is a reptile event with tables and tables full of vendors selling reptile pets, reptile supplies, reptile feeders, reptile cages and reptile merchandise. Repticon is Saturday and Sunday 10 to 4 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. Go to repticon.com.

And as always, Orlando is wonderful.
