Spotlight: Woodstock Documentary, Polaroid Pop Up, and Feeding the Influence

Every Friday afternoon, Mark Baratelli, publisher of The Daily City, shares his picks for can’t-miss weekend events in Central Florida.

Enjoy a free preview screening of the documentary Woodstock: Three days that defined a generation which features never-before-seen footage that tells the story of the political and social upheaval leading up to those three historic days. The free screening of Woodstock takes place Saturday at 7:30 at Timucua House.

Get a one of a kind instant film portrait of yourself and loved ones this weekend when photographer David Lawrence sets up his camera in two different locations to create portraits photographed using square Polaroid Original film and the old school "Peel Apart" film that's no longer in production. Photos are the cost of at least 3 venti blonde roasts add almond milk. Polaroid pop up takes place Saturday 10 to 3 at The Nook in the Milk District and Sunday 11 to 4 at Floyds Barber Shop in the Mills50 District.

Feeding the Influence is a group art show that showcases the artistic projects of 10 different artists who were inspired to create works based on a single statement: "Envision the influence of social media – the dangers, beauty, ugliness, goodness, preservation, certainty, and disbelief." The show takes place Sunday at 11 at City Arts in downtown Orlando.
