Spotlight: Record Store Crawl, Block Paw-ty, Family Yoga and Pet Portraits

Every Friday afternoon, Mark Baratelli, publisher of The Daily City, shares his picks for can’t-miss weekend events in Central Florida.

Folks will get on a bus and be driven to area music stores to crate dive and along the way get lunch and dranks during the Orlando Record Store Crawl presented by Warner Music. It ain’t free and it ain’t local, but if you like music (and who doesn’t?) search for Orlando Record Store Crawl on Facebook to find their event page because Warner apparently can’t pay for a unique URL -- NO SHADE of course. Tickets are the cost of 40 birthday balloons at the dollar store.

Dogs and their owners will take over the Mennello Museum of American Art’s Sculpture Garden and enjoy food, drinks, a photo booth, raffles and more. Admission if you don't buy a ticket beforehand is the cost of 15 rubber cat toys at the dollar store. Summer Block Paw-ty is 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sunday at Mennello Museum.

Do yoga with your kids and then feed them fancy donuts afterward during East End Market’s Family Yoga and Donuts event Sunday starting at 1 p.m. Tickets are required ahead of time so grab them on East End’s website. Tickets are the cost of 15 frozen Hot Pockets at the dollar store.

Book a photoshoot for your pet and support the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando at the same time when local photographer Gold Photo snaps pictures of your animal -- owls welcome! -- and donates a portion of their fee to Pet Alliance. The fun takes place Saturday at Orlando Brewing but remember, tickets are required. Appointments can be made by going to agoldphoto.com. The total cost is equal to the cost of 120 cans of french cut, no-salt-added green beans at the dollar store.
