This week, Opera Orlando announced plans for a star-studded one-night-only performance to benefit the community affected by the Pulse nightclub shooting.

The event is called "One Voice Orlando: A Celebration in Song." It’s scheduled for September 11th at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

"It's the right thing to do to have a chance to use our resources as an art form to do something to make a difference for the people of Orlando and we want to make sure that we're doing things to actually strengthen the community by the funds that we're raising," said Opera Orlando’s David Sckolnik.

The Interfaith Counsel of Central Florida, The Zebra Coalition and Somos Orlando are some of the organizations that will benefit from the performance.
