Spotlight now swings through trapeze artistry and choreographed acrobatics to land on the stages of Cirque du Soleil. Through Sunday, September 21, the innovative circus company is performing its traveling show, Varekai, at Orlando’s Amway Center.

Central Florida has a resident Cirque du Soleil show – La Nouba at Downtown Disney.

To mark Varekai’s visit, 90.7’s Amy Kiley spoke with the artistic directors of both shows. Varekai’s Fabrice Lemire was on the phone, and La Nouba’s Daniel Ross was in studio. Ross began by explaining how Cirque du Soleil transcends the typical three-ring acts.

Information on Varekai’s visit is here and on La Nouba is here.
