Presented by: Young Friends of 90.7 WMFE
In partnership with: A Gift For Teaching
Collection dates: Ongoing

Young Friends of 90.7 WMFE invites you to participate in our school supply drive to provide vital supplies to students in need throughout the school year. We have partnered with A Gift For Teaching, which has distributed nearly $108 million worth of supplies to more than 300 schools since 1998.

We have also partnered with Lisa Maile Seminars and Coaching to donate a carload of supplies to the winner of their teacher makeover contest in August. (Teachers in Orange and Seminole: apply by July 14)

More than 70% (nearly 240,000) of the students in Central Florida come from families that can’t afford lunch, let alone school supplies. More than 17,000 of these children are homeless. A Gift For Teaching serves 287 public schools in Orange and Osceola counties through free stores.

And the need for supplies doesn’t cease after the school year begins. That’s why our drive doesn’t stop in August – it continues throughout the school year, collecting at WMFE’s studio and through community partners (list below) throughout Central Florida.

Here’s how you can support our community’s students and teachers:
