Red Lobster Seafood Co. took a first step as an independent company by unveiling new and refreshed menu items with a big emphasis on the lobster part of its name. And now, the 46-year-old Orlando restaurant company is putting together plans to build out its new culinary development center in its new downtown Orlando headquarters, where it can test even more menu tweaks and treats. Red Lobster has spent the last few months fine-tuning ways of making its new growth plan focused on “great seafood, great people, great results” a reality.

In other business news, Orlando work force solutions firm ZeroChaos has acquired Florida Blue’s Incepture spinoff, a Jacksonville firm that has seen explosive growth in recent years. The deal between Orlando-basedZeroChaos — one of the largest managed service provider in the world — and Incepture was effective Nov. 3. Neither company would discuss financial details of the transaction. The move is an expansion for ZeroChaos, which has some customers in the health care industry. Incepture helps clients hire on-call and on-demand workers.
