ORLANDO — The Board of Trustees at Community Communications Inc., which operates public radio stations 90.7 WMFE and 89.5 WMFV, welcomed two new members on Jan. 1: Larry Henrichs, chief operating officer for Visit Orlando, and Chris Brockman, partner at Holland & Knight.

“It’s always exciting and humbling to have some of our community’s best and brightest volunteer to help guide our organization’s service to Central Florida,” said LaFontaine E. Oliver, president and general manager of Community Communications Inc.

Larry Henrichs is the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Visit Orlando. Henrichs is a CPA and received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, magna cum laude, from Auburn University. He previously served on WMFE Board from 2011 to 2017. Henrichs currently serves on the board of directors of the Florida Association of Destination Marketing Organizations and Florida Citrus Sports, and is an executive committee member of Orlando, Inc.

Chris Brockman is the deputy practice group leader for Holland & Knight’s Southeast Real Estate Group. He focuses his practice in the area of real estate law, with special emphasis on commercial real estate transactions, including commercial leasing matters. Brockman currently serves on board of directors for Orlando, Inc. and is the immediate past chair of the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida’s board. The new trustees were elected at the Dec. 12 Board meeting and their initial one-year terms began Jan. 1. Their first Board meeting is Feb. 27.

“We are thrilled to welcome Larry Henrichs back to our Board of Trustees,” said Anne E. Kelley, 2019 Board Chair and chief credit officer of Northstar Financial Group. “Larry’s knowledge of finance coupled with his deep passion for our mission of delivering high-quality programming to our audience makes him uniquely qualified to assist the Board and management in setting and achieving goals that will continue to take us to the next plateau.

“We are also very fortunate to welcome Chris Brockman. Chris has been an ardent supporter of public radio for many years. His legal background and negotiating skills will serve us well as WMFE and WMFV navigate through challenges that accompany any growing organization in the public radio arena.”

Elected to new leadership roles in 2019 are Chair Kelley, the 33rd board chair, Vice Chair Bill Segal, owner, Development Associates, and Immediate Past Chair Robert B. White Jr., vice president, White & Luczak, P.A.
