90.7 WMFE FINALIST FOR FOUR FLORIDA AP AWARDS

STORIES ABOUT HOW THE PULSE SHOOTING HAS AFFECTED THE COMMUNITY DOMINATE THE NOMINATIONS

ORLANDO — Orlando-based 90.7 WMFE is a finalist in the hard news feature, light news feature, public affairs and digital programming categories for the 2017 Florida AP Broadcasters Professional contest.

Stories about how the Central Florida community has been affected by the Pulse shooting represent three of the five nominations. Reporters Brendan Byrne and Amy Green are going head to head in the light news feature category.

Here are 90.7 WMFE’s finalists in the Radio I classification:

Feature | Hard News: Abe Aboraya, WMFE-FM, Orlando, "PTSD Lingers in First Responders After Pulse"

Digital Programming: WMFE-FM, Orlando, "Life After Pulse/Orlando Un Año Después."
