Phantasmagoria, Birthdays And Dames at Sea
Phantasmagoria “Wicked Little Tales”. The troupe of storytellers, dancers, and chorus perform tales of terror from authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, Lewis Carroll and more including horrific folk tales, legends and myths from around the world! They call themselves “Orlando’s original Steampunk storytelling troupe”, so there’s a good chance of seeing a top hat with goggles. The City of Maitland is celebrating its 130th Birthday Saturday evening starting at 6 at Lake Lily Park. I love Birthday cake! Will there be cake? Oh… no mention of cake, but city vehicles will be on display, there will also be music performed by the Maitland Stage Band and the event ends with a fireworks display starting at 8:30.
The Orlando Curry Fest is a festival celebrating curried food, entertainment and culture from all over the world! The Orlando Curry Fest is Saturday Starting at 12pm at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.

And finally, Dames at Sea the musical that’s a parody of a 1930’s style musical is opening tonight at the Winter Park Playhouse. It’s the story of a sweet “hometown” girl that steps into a role on Broadway and becomes a star. The musical starts this evening at 7:30 and runs through August 22nd.
