Orlando Family Readies Supply Boat For Bahamas
Orlando resident Heidi Hill is busy gathering relief supplies to pack on a boat destined for the Bahamas. She wonders just what she’ll see when the boat arrives.
Hill is a veterinary technician at Underhill Animal Hospital in Orlando. Her family has been going to the Bahamas for years, and now they’re looking for a way to give back, by packing a boatload of supplies to take to the devastated islands.
Hill says just as soon as they get the all clear from Bahamian authorities and the US Coastguard, they’ll set out on the supply mission.
And she says they’re prepared to help ferry survivors to safety if needed.
Hill is raising money for supplies through a GoFundMe page . You can drop supplies off at 4900 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando.
