Orlando City Soccer Aiming For Playoff Spot; A Conversation With Reggae Girlz Captain Konya Plummer

Last month the US women’s soccer team won it’s fourth World Cup title, exhilarating US sports fans along the way. Orlando Sentinel sports editor Iliana Limón Romero joins us to talk about the world cup bump that’s carried over into fan following for the National Womens’ Soccer League and the Orlando Pride, and how Orlando City is playing to keep its hopes of a playoff spot alive.

And we’ll hear from the captain of the Jamaican women’s soccer team. 90.7’s Talia Blake talked to Konya Plummer about leading the Reggae Girlz in the World Cup and balancing soccer with school work as she heads into her senior year at UCF.
