Intersection | Columnist Darryl Owens Talks Ferguson & Conversations with Congressmen Paul Ryan and John Mica

The shooting death of 18-year old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri sparked protest and intense media interest this month. 90.7's Matthew Peddie speaks to Orlando Sentinel Columnist and 90.7 Contributor Darryl Owens about the situation and what makes it different from protests two years ago in Central Florida stemming from the death of teenager Trayvon Martin.

Also, 2012 Vice-Presidential hopeful and Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan spent last week touring the state of Florida promoting his new book “The Way Forward.” He joins Matthew Peddie to speak about the plummeting approval rating numbers of Congress, the immigration debate, and Florida’s role in the 2016 Presidential elections.

Also, Congressman John Mica is no stranger to Florida Transportation projects - he’s been instrumental in securing funding for SunRail and the Orlando International Airport inter-modal expansion. Matthew Peddie speaks with him about the transportation projects shaping Central Florida.
