Intersection: Regulating Vacation Rentals

Its been a few months since the city of Orlando rolled out its new ordinance regulating vacation rentals.  The law aims to allay the fears of neighbors in residential areas who arent pleased by the rotating cast of visitors next door. But some vacation rental owners say the ordinance goes too far.

Books & Brunch Program Promotes Literacy In Apopka

A new program in Apopka promotes literacy, and education about social and economic challenges. The Hope Community Centers Books and Brunch runs every fourth Saturday  at Taylor Apartments.

New Citizenship Classes Start In Apopka

A new class of aspiring US citizens will begin learning what it takes to become a citizen this weekend. The Hope Community Center in Apopka has won a $225,000 grant from US Citizenship and Immigration Service covers the cost of paid staff, volunteers and resources to run the citizenship classes.
