Spotlight: Improv Fest, Plant Sale, Book Fest, Home Show and The Devil Wears Prada

Improv troupes from across the country come to Orlando to bring their own unique take on the art form during the Central Florida Improv Fest tonight at 8 and Saturday at 7 Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts. More than 50 plant growers and vendors will be selling plants and outdoor accessories during the Leu Gardens Annual Plant Sale Saturday and Sunday all day at Leu Gardens. The word fusion is one of the most misused terms in culinarydom. More often than not, a restaurant will tout itself as a fusion restaurant when in fact all it does is offer two or more cuisines on the same menu. But fusion occurs when two or more items come together to form something different, something unique. El Buda, a new restaurant in downtown Orlando from chef Roberto Treviño, features true fusion cuisine, a melding of Latino and Asian. The results are refreshingly distinct.
