Intersection: SunRail Turns Three

SunRail turned three this week. It opened to great fanfare in May 2014, and riders took advantage of free travel for the first two weeks and packed the trains. But since then, fewer people than expected have hopped aboard. We hear from the Florida Department of Transportations Steve Olson and from transportation writer Dan Tracy about how the fledgling commuter rail is doing, three years on.

State Officials In Orlando To Address Central Florida’s Heroin Epidemic

Officials from Florida's health, social service, and law enforcement agencies will meet Tuesday afternoon in Orlando to discuss central Floridas heroin problem. The meeting is part of several public workshops across the state. They follow Governor Rick Scott and Attorney General Pam Bondis renewed commitment last month to tackling opioid abuse in Florida.
