Darryl Owens: New Community School Could Help Unite Parramore

This week, we’re taking a look at Orlando’s historic Parramore neighborhood and the major redevelopment project underway there. With that redevelopment comes a pre-K through 8th grade school, Parramore’s first in more than 40 years. It’s a $41 million facility in the heart of the neighborhood that’s expected to open in 2017.

Orlando Sentinel editorial writer and columnist Darryl Owens says a new school in the area will help bring the community together.
