Joey Chase from Coffee Roaster's Alliance is leading a coffee tasting and workshop where attendees will gain an understanding of flavor, aroma and chemical components and sample foods, flowers and herbs that share characteristics with the coffees being served. This takes place Saturday 11 to 1 at Credo Coffee at 706 W Smith Street in Orlando.

The biggest truck and jeep show of the year is coming to the Orlando Convention center Saturday and Sunday starting at 9 and running all day called the "4 Wheel Parts Truck and Jeep Fest." Expect giant trucks and free admission.
The work of 14 photographers showing portraits of people who get around Orlando without a car can be viewed all day Saturday at The Gallery at Avalon Island at 39 S. Magnolia Ave. The show is part of Trip, a blog and art piece by Patrick Greene, curator of the gallery.

There is a Spring Roll Workshop taught by Master Chef Top15 contestant Francis B Saturday 11:30 - 2:30 at East End Market at 3201 Corrine Drive. Learn 4 different fillings including Filipino lumpia, Vietnamese summer rolls and a dessert spring roll. For those who want to booze it up, you can BYOB because apparently and I quote “spring rolls pair well with many alcoholic beverages”.

Homegrown Local Food Cooperative is showing the work of local artists Victor Bokas and Dawn Schreiner Saturday 7 to 10 at 2310 N Orange Ave in Orlando. There will be music by Sharon Center Lowe and Ben Tiptonford, kombucha, baked goods, sweet treats and hummus.

 

Bill joined WMFE in September 2008. He started his radio career at WFCS at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain Connecticut where he hosted a weekly comedy/variety show and gospel and blues programs. Bill then spent 10 years at WNPR in Hartford, Connecticut, where he worked in radio operations and hosted the evening classical music. During this time he also spent two years working overnights and weekends at WTIC 1080 News in Hartford were he anchored the local newscasts, filed stories for CBS radio and prepared news stories for the morning drive.

Bill lives in Deltona and enjoys travel, motorcycling, restaurants and live music.
