Cabaret! The musical about a German underground club full of dancing sexy people set just before the rise of the Nazis is playing now to February 8th at the Abbey. And that’s abbey with an E like nunnery abbey not abbey without an E like Dear Abby for those old enough to remember her.

The 41st Annual Orlando Ballet Gala is not your typical black-tie, sit-down, fancy people, plastic-faced, hotel food gala. No M’am! This year, it has a theme. The theme is the 60s, and I quote: “Put on your bell bottoms and break out the tie-dye” end quote. Go-go girls, open bars, swanky spreads of scrumptious hors d’oeuvre and sweets, surprise entertainment, and dancing. Nope. Nothing typical about this gala. The 41st Annual Orlando Ballet Gala is Saturday at 7:30 at the Loch Haven Community Center.

And last and but not least the 2015 Porcelain Art Show is not your typical porcelain art show. The theme this year is “Bless the Beasts and the Children.” End quote. Tickets are cheap so bring your poor friends or the cheap rich ones! Saturday 9 to 5 at the Bahia Shrine Center.
