AMPLIFY CENTRAL FLORIDA: WHICH ARTS ORG DESERVES FREE ON-AIR SPOTS?

Arts funding in Florida was cut by 90 percent this year. Amplify Central Florida is our new campaign to award on-air messages to deserving nonprofit arts organizations to help make up some of that funding gap.

We will award corporate sponsorship packages worth $2,500 four times a year. The on-air messages will air on 90.7 WMFE and its sister station, 89.5 WMFV in The Villages, and will reach more than 270,000 weekly listeners across Central Florida.

Central Florida arts organizations have entered the contest by submitting their events to the WMFE Community Calendar. Voting is now open!

VOTE: To place your vote, please visit our Facebook album and click “like” on your pick. Voting runs through Aug. 16.

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE ARTS ORGANIZATION

The WMFE Community Advisory Board will pick a winner based on our listeners’ votes and other supporting documentation. The winner will be announced on Aug. 21.
