The Florida Chamber of Commerce is throwing its support to Republican Adam Putnam for governor. Putnam who supports 2nd amendment rights, now supports increased screenings for gun owners after the Parkland school shooting.
“I’m very supportive of the moves the legislature has made to secure our schools and keep our students and teachers safe. There’s more work still to be done on strengthening our mental health systems.”
Putnam is also in favor of increased access to mental health resources starting with more counselors in schools.
