Jack Kerouac and Zora Neale Hurston aren't the only literary luminaries who’ve made a home in Central Florida. There’s a new generation of writers bubbling up. Ahead on Intersection, we’ll dip into the area’s literary diversity - sampling poetry, young adult fiction and comic books.

Award winning poet Brian Turner has published two collections of poems and an acclaimed memoir.

The Iraq war veteran says he writes to try and understand his own life to try to make sense of why he enlisted and what he experienced at war.

On the flip side, we explore Orlando’s comic book culture from graphic novels to big conventions with Rollins College professor Julian Chambliss.

And Young Adult fiction continues to boom. What’s grabbing your teen’s attention enough to put down the smartphone and pick up a book? Orange County librarian- and novelist- Lauren Gibaldi Mathur talks about the next generation of readers and writers.
