Spotlight: Trash 2 Trends Fashion Show

One person’s trash is another person’s trend. At least that’s the case for Orlando’s second annual Trash 2 Trends recycled fashion show.

Local designers have created outfits from items that would have ended up in a landfill. Instead they will end up on the runway Saturday night. Yes, there will be a GREEN carpet. The idea is to get people thinking about sustainability and to raise funds for the the city non-profit Keep Orlando Beautiful.

The designers got very creative with their masterpieces using "everything from bubble wrap, plastic bags, construction fence, old fire hoses, pool hoses, poker chips, cards; it's just everything you can imagine," said Jody Buyas, Keep Orlando Beautiful coordinator.
