Zimmerman is facing second degree murder charges for the killing of seventeen year old Trayvon Martin in February of last year. Zimmerman says he acted in self defense when he shot the unarmed African American teenager. 90.7's Matthew Peddie speaks with Orlando Sentinel columnist Darryl Owens about the social impact of the incident and the effect of the upcoming trial on the city of Sanford and Central Florida's black community.
