In Central Florida, officials are trying to combat these issues in various ways, like summer programs to feed students who eat free or reduced-cost lunches through the school year. Meanwhile, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer last week hosted the city's first-ever Summit on Senior Hunger to bring together resources and raise awareness.
