August 27, 2012 | WMFE - Tropical Storm Isaac is moving northwest through the Gulf of Mexico this morning. The 8:00 am update from the National Weather Service shows the storm about 360 miles southeast of New Orleans and about 220 miles northwest of Key West moving West/Northwest at 14 mph with maximum winds of about 65 MPH.

Storm Track Takes Issac Away From West Coast of Florida.

August 26, 2012 | WMFE - As of 5pm the National Hurricane Center is dropping the tropical storm watches counties in the eastern part of Florida. The hurricane warning in the Florida Keys and the west coast of Florida is also being reduced to a tropical storm warning.

Parts of Central Florida Placed Under Tropical Storm Warning and Watch

August 25, 2012 | WMFE - The National Hurricane Center is placing Florida's east coast from the Florida Keys to Sebastian Inlet under a tropical storm warning. Meanwhile a tropical storm watch has been placed from Sebastian Inlet to Flagler Beach. That includes Volusia, Brevard, Orange, Osceola, and Lake Counties.

Isaac Pointing Toward Gulf But RNC Still Set for Monday

August 24, 2012 | WMFE - The most recent forecast tracks show Tropical Storm Isaac moving northwest into the Gulf late this weekend possibly crossing the Florida Keys by Sunday. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center in Miami say the forecast path has shifted west to a track that could point the storm toward landfall along the north Florida Panhandle or near the Alabama-Mississippi border Tuesday night. But hurricane experts say it's too early to know what track the storm will follow. The Gulf Coast, including Tampa, site of the Republican National Convention, is still potentially in the storm's path.
