One Dead, Five Injured in Downtown Orlando Shooting

One person has been killed and five injured the Gateway Center office building on Legions Place in downtown Orlando. Witnesses say the suspect, 40 year old Jason Rodriguez, walked into the building and opened fire shortly after noon.
Streets are closed in a four block area near the intersection of Ivanhoe and Interstate 4.
Traffic is stalled on all of the major roadways near downtown Orlando.
Five victims are reportedly being treated at the nearby hospitals.
The suspect was apprehended at his mother's home by Orlando Police just after 2:00 this afternoon.
Orlando Police say the suspect is a former employee of the engineering firm Reynolds, Smith and Hill.
