Expedition 38 Commander Oleg Kotov and Flight Engineer Sergey Ryazanskiy of the Russian Federal Space Agency, are installing a pair of cameras and other scientific equipment on the hull of the space station.

The cameras are part of a Canadian commercial endeavor to downlink Earth observation imagery.

The cosmonauts' space walk comes just days after US astronauts fixed a broken cooling system on the exterior of the orbiting laboratory.

Expedition 38 Flight Engineers Mike Hopkins and Rick Mastracchio removed faulty ammonia coolant pump in a space walk on December 22nd.

They installed a replacement part on Christmas Eve, in a spacewalk lasting seven and a half hours.
