First UCF Medical School Class Graduates
May 17th, 2013 | WMFE- The first students to graduate from the University of Central Florida's Medical School received their diplomas Friday morning.

The medical school was established in 2006, with UCF president John Hitt and others working to get state approval and secure full scholarships for the charter class.
The dean of the school, Deborah German, said the graduation was a celebration of the achievements of individual students- "and the collective accomplishment of the entire community in the dream of building our medical school"
"This day is the result of unprecedented creativity, generosity and hard work,” she added.
36 students were awarded medical degrees.
