Intersection | NASA's Hugh Harris and Zora Festival's N.Y. Nathiri

January 28, 2014 | WMFE Orlando - This week marks the anniversary of the Challenger disaster, when the space shuttle exploded 73 seconds after lifting off from the Kennedy Space Center. Hugh Harris was the Director of Public Affairs for Kennedy Space Center, and was known as "The Voice of Kennedy Space Center" for his job as announcing the countdown and launches of shuttles. 90.7's Matthew Peddie speaks with him about that day and his vision for the future of spaceflight. Also, this week the city of Eatonville is celebrating the life and legacy of author and folklorist Zora Neale Hurston. 90.7's Matthew Peddie speaks with N.Y Nathiri, Executive Director of the Zora Neal Hurston Museum of Fine Arts in Eatonville about Hurston's impact on Central Florida and what the historic town is doing to preserve its culture.
