What's Next For Busch Theme Parks With In-Bev's Purchase of A-B

(July 17, 2008) -- This week's announcement of Belgian brewer In-Bev's purchase of Anheuser-Busch is fueling speculation about the future of the Busch Entertainment theme parks, like Busch Gardens in Tampa and Sea World in Orlando. In-Bev is keeping mum about whether it plans to sell the parks when the Busch sale goes through. For some outside prognostication, 90.7's David Pitman stopped by the office of Rollins College marketing professor Mark Johnston. He's done extensive consulting work for some of the big players in Central Florida's tourism business. In-Bev still has billions of dollars to raise to pay for Anheuser-Busch, so Johnston thinks a spinoff of the theme parks looks pretty likely.
