What’s new for amusement parks? A conversation


Looking to buy a new roller coaster ride? You can find that and pretty much anything else theme-park related at the Orange County Convention Center this week. About 28,000 people from the amusement park business are expected at the industry’s premier trade show. 90.7’s Amy Green talked with Colleen Mangone from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, and exhibitor Michael Lane. Mangone began the conversation on the trade show floor.

Six arrests in Winter Springs rape case


Six teenagers have been arrested in the alleged rape of a Winter Springs High School student. Five of the six suspects are juveniles and could be charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment, according to the Winter Springs Police Department. Police say the November 13th attack took place near Winter Springs High School. A spokeswoman for the state attorney’s office said the case hasn’t been reviewed yet.
