Orlando City Soccer Club holds meetings to discuss new stadium

ocs

Meetings will be held this evening with contract developers and the other with residents in the neighborhood where the stadium is to be built.

The soccer club says these are the first of many community meetings to keep residents and businesses informed during construction.

The stadium has caused some controversy including a dispute between the city and a church over land in Parramore it wanted to use to build the stadium.

After the church refused to move, the City of Orlando had to relocate the site.

Earlier this week Orlando City Soccer Club met with Parramore residents.

The club says it wants to incorporate the heritage and culture of the community into the stadium.

They say they aim to meet at least four times a year.
