Messiah, Art Festival and Food and Rum Fest

The Messiah Choral Society presents their 42nd annual performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center in Downtown Orlando. Dr. John Sinclair, Professor of Music at Rollins College will conduct the 120+ member choir and professional soloists. The performance is also supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank by requesting concert attendees bring donations of nonperishable food items. Doors open at 2:15 ,  and since this an open to the public concert you may want to get there early for the best seats.

The 51st Annual Space Coast Art Festival is taking place this Saturday and Sunday at The Exploration Tower at Port Canaveral. The festival features over 240 juried artists, live music and food trucks from The Daily City Food Truck Bazaar.

The Jammin Food and Rum Fest mixes food, rum and music. It’s an international combination of food mixed with rum recipes from around the world and music from an array of artists including Orlando Latin/ Reggae band “The Luna Bellum” and local hard rock band “Falicity”. The festival takes place Saturday from Noon to 9 at Lake Eola, for more information go to orlandobands.com

Bill joined WMFE in September 2008. He started his radio career at WFCS at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain Connecticut where he hosted a weekly comedy/variety show and gospel and blues programs. Bill then spent 10 years at WNPR in Hartford, Connecticut, where he worked in radio operations and hosted the evening classical music. During this time he also spent two years working overnights and weekends at WTIC 1080 News in Hartford were he anchored the local newscasts, filed stories for CBS radio and prepared news stories for the morning drive.

Bill lives in Deltona and enjoys travel, motorcycling, restaurants and live music.
