Fort Myers-based Lake Pickett North, the new owner of about half of the 100-year-old Rybolt Ranch cattle farm in east Orlando, has submitted plans to Orange County to redevelop all 1,435 acres of the ranch into a mixed-use development. The project would include 1,999 homes and nearly 100,000 square feet of commercial space. Lake Pickett North recently bought about 700 acres of mostly grazing and agricultural land from Rolling R. Ranch, an entity created by the Rybolt family, and plans to buy the rest of the property at a later date.
