Fort Myers-based Lake Pickett North, the new owner of about half of the 100-year-old Rybolt Ranch cattle farm in east Orlando, has submitted plans to Orange County to redevelop all 1,435 acres of the ranch into a mixed-use development. The project would include 1,999 homes and nearly 100,000 square feet of commercial space. Lake Pickett North recently bought about 700 acres of mostly grazing and agricultural land from Rolling R. Ranch, an entity created by the Rybolt family, and plans to buy the rest of the property at a later date.

In other business news, Prime Therapeutics Specialty Pharmacy plans to add 100 new positions at its Orlando facility by March 2015. The new positions would bring the local site’s total number of jobs created to more than 300 since the facility opened in 2012. The average salary for staff based in Orlando at Prime Therapeutics Specialty Pharmacy is more than $55,000. About 50 positions still need to be filled, including business analysts, licensed practical nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and specialty inside sales representatives.
