The Parkland school shooting last month sparked calls for tougher gun control, and thrust student activists from Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school into the spotlight.

As students prepare to demonstrate in Washington DC tomorrow, and at cities around the country, some parents are also raising the question: whether to attend a rally with young kids in tow.

Hagerty High School senior Courtney Ring, UCF student and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School alumnus Trevor Wild and UCF associate professor of clinical psychology Kimberly Renk join Intersection  to discuss what this new wave of political activism means for college and high school students- and for parents of younger children too. And we hear from pediatrician Dr. David Hill, who chairs the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Communications and Media.
