The 2014 midterm election is about a month away. Florida’s gubernatorial race is close in the polls and garnering national attention. Current Governor Rick Scott faces former governor and Republican-turned Democrat- Charlie Crist in November.

Each has been touring the state and working on gaining support from Florida voters. They’ve made education and the economy front-and-center issues for this campaign.

To talk about his education and economic policy should he be elected, 90.7’s Matthew Peddie speaks with candidate for Governor Charlie Crist.

Producer's Note: 90.7 News has reached out to Governor Rick Scott to speak with us on this program. As of this week, his campaign has been unable to schedule time for an interview. We’ll continue to extend the open invitation to Governor Rick Scott and Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera throughout this election season, and we hope they will be able to join this program.
