Intersection | 'America by the Numbers' & Cuba Gooding, Sr.

According to 'America by the Numbers', a television documentary, so-called ethnic minorities will be the nation’s majority by 2043. The series on WOLRD Channel explores the changing multicultural landscape of the United States.

90.7's speaks with 'America by the Numbers' and NPR’s Latino USA anchor Maria Hinojosa about her series and her thoughts on the future of this multicultural nation.

Also, 70’s soul singer Cuba Gooding Senior is hosting a benefit concert this week. He’s gathered soul and R&B groups from the decade like The Delfonics, Peaches & Herb, and his group - Cuba Gooding and the Main Ingredient - to benefit the Florida Classic schools.

He joins 90.7's Matthew Peddie in the studio to talk about his music career, highlighted by his hit ‘Everybody Plays the Fool,’  and the acting career of his son Cuba Gooding Junior.

Brendan Byrne is WMFE's Assistant News Director, managing the day-to-day operations of the WMFE newsroom, editing daily news stories, and managing WMFE's internship program.

Byrne also hosts WMFE's weekly radio show and podcast "Are We There Yet?" which explores human space exploration.
