The Polasek Museum is stuffing its shelves with a smattering of… gourds? Yes, gourds. Gourds from all over the world for their tactile art show called Shapely Vessels: Gourds from Around the World. Raymond Konan is a self-titled “Gourd Guru” and he is putting together all the programming surrounding this exhibit which runs until August 9th. Go to polasek.org

The 24th Annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival ends this weekend. You’ve missed most of it, but don’t feel bad. You have all weekend to catch up. Over 100 performances of shows from all over the world but mostly Orlando. Be sure to visit visual fringe for some non-performing art, and Kids Fringe for some kid-friendly fun. There’s an outdoor stage with live free musical performances and the infamous beer tent on the giant “Green” in Loch Haven Park. Go to orlandofringe.org.

Jessica Wheel gathered up a handful of local makers, artisans and weekend cookie bakers and put them in a renovated warehouse space in the Mills 50 district for her second Brookhaven Market. The market opens Saturday for one day only 12 to 5 at 1300 Brookhaven Drive. Go to facebook.com/brookhavenmkt. Not “market” M...K...T
