Drones, Genealogy, Dinner and a Movie

At Drones on the Horizon hosted by Horizon Hobby, families, hobbyists and drone enthusiasts can enjoy a free day of fun and drone flight. This hands-on event includes drone races, flight school, professional demos from industry experts and more. Drones on the Horizon takes place Saturday at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.

Second Saturdays in Sanford will feature two stages of live entertainment, food and drink. This all takes place at the West End Trading Company at 202 S. Sanford Ave. in Sanford this Saturday.

There’s an after-hours genealogy event to research your family history coming up on Saturday. Meet, mingle and share with fellow researchers as you uncover details of your ancestry. Guests are invited to take a brief tour of the facility. Genealogy lectures and technology classes will be offered. Library staff and volunteers will be available for research assistance. Orlando Museum of Art is doing a Dinner and a Movie special event, an all-inclusive event with a screening of the film “The Hearts of Summer,” dinner, wine, live music and dancing. The food is being prepared by Golden Krust Restaurant and Bakery. The fun takes place Sunday at two different times. For details go to omart.org.
