Law enforcement and child welfare experts are leading a public forum on cyberbullying in Orlando Wednesday evening.

The meeting comes just a few weeks after the suicide of a Seminole County middle school student whose family said he was bullied.

14-year-old Lamar Hawkins ended his life at Greenwood Lakes Middle School last month.

Wednesday night's forum is being held at the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida.

Bailey Robb coordinates the Center’s ‘Upstanders’ anti bullying program.

She says new technology has added an extra dimension to bullying.

“Now unfortunately with so many young people having cellphones and internet and all of these applications on their phones, they have access to each other 24-7," says Robb.

Seminole County Public School officials will join experts from the Sheriff’s office and Nemours Children’s Hospital for the forum.
